Under this scheme, a consolidated amount of Rs.500/- is deposited in the saving account on the birth of a girl child for the upliftment of social status of girl children. During her schooling, scholarship is also deposited in the same saving account. On attaining the age of 18 years, the amount can be withdrawn for her higher education. This assistance is restricted only for two girl children.
