Delhi Social Advisory Board

The Delhi Social Welfare Advisory Board was set up on the 3rd of July, 1954, under an order of the then State Government. The present Board was constituted in July, 1996 under the Chairmanship of Dr. (Smt.) Saroj Diksha Vidyalankar. It has 21 non-official members and one official member.

The Board implements the policies and programmes of the Central Social Welfare Board, Deptt. of Women & Child Development Ministry of Human Resources, in the National Capital Territory of Delhi such as Vocational Training Programmes, Condensed Course of Education for Adult Women, Creche for the Children of Working & Ailing mother, working women's Hostel, Socio-Economic Programme, Family Couselling Centre, Awareness Generation Camps, etc. More than 80 Non-Governmental organisation are aided by the Board covering about 225 units under above noted schemes.
