Delhi Social Welfare Board

Delhi Social Welfare Board was constituted under the Chairmanship of Ms.  Motiya Garg with several members.  The Department of Women and Child Development provides 50% of administrative cost towards this board.  The board undertakes several welfare programmes of the Central Social Welfare Board and   Ministry of Human Resources in Delhi with the help of NGO’s.  Funds are also provided to NGO’s for carrying out these programs.  More than 80 Non-Government organizations are aided by the Board covering about 225 units in the schemes mentioned below:

-         Vocational Training Programs

-         Condensed Course of Education for Adult Women

-         Creche for the Children of Working and Ailing mother

-         Socio-Economic Programme

-         Family Counselling Centre

-              Awareness Generation Camps
